Why NEPR
Taking pictures is easy. Knowing what to document is harder.
Most of us have hundreds, or thousands, of photographs on our phones.
But a collection of pictures is not the same thing as a property record.
NEPR uses a structured process to document the home systematically, helping capture details that are easy to overlook and difficult to recreate later.
The goal is not to document everything for the sake of documenting everything.
It is to preserve the information that helps tell the story of what you have, what has been done, and what makes your property unique.
Our Story
NEPR was built around a simple idea: some information is worth preserving before you need it.
Our founder experienced two house fires before the age of eleven.
He remembers watching his father do two jobs at once: care for his family while also trying to gather the information necessary to begin putting their lives back together.
Years later, professional work involving property damage and insurance claims revealed the same challenge from another perspective.
After damage occurs, people are often asked to remember details about their homes at exactly the time when their attention belongs somewhere else.
What was there? What kind was it? When was it installed? What did you own? Where is the receipt? Who did the work?
Some of that burden can be reduced simply by doing the work earlier.

Is this just for insurance claims?
No.
Insurance and property-loss situations are important uses for good documentation, but they are only part of the picture.
A property record can also help with repairs, maintenance, renovations, equipment replacement, ownership changes, estate matters, and simply maintaining better knowledge of your home.
Is NEPR a home inspection?
No.
A traditional home inspection evaluates the condition of a property and may identify defects or recommend further evaluation.
NEPR's purpose is different.
We document and organize information about the property so that you have a lasting record of it.
What will I receive?
