Property Documentation & Preparedness
Your home should have a record.
Your home is more than an address. It is memories, systems, materials, improvements, belongings, repairs, history, and thousands of details that are easy to overlook until you need them.
NEPR helps homeowners document and preserve that information in one organized property record.
The Idea
You maintain your home. You insure your home. You should have a record of your home.
Think about how much information is connected to your house.
Receipts are buried in email. Renovation photos live on phones. Manuals disappear into drawers. Contractor records get filed away. Details about flooring, cabinetry, heating systems, upgrades, and belongings may never be formally recorded at all.
Over time, much of what we know about our homes becomes scattered, or exists only in memory.
We believe something this important deserves better.
Your home should have a record.
Why Documentation Matters
The best time to document important information is while you still have easy access to it.
You do not need to expect something to go wrong for good property documentation to make sense.
Homes change. Systems are replaced. Rooms are renovated. Appliances fail. Pipes leak. Heating components break. Contractors come and go. Families move. Properties change hands.
Along the way, information gets lost.
A good property record preserves those details as part of the ongoing story of the home and makes them easier to find if you ever have a reason to need them.
Sometimes that reason is routine. Sometimes it is unexpected.
Either way, having the information is easier than trying to recreate it.
What NEPR Does
We turn the details of your home into an organized property record.
NEPR provides a structured documentation service designed to capture important information about your home while it is readily available.
Interior and exterior materials
Renovations and improvements
Appliances and equipment
Photographs
Household contents
Supporting records and documentation
Custom or unique property features
Homeowner-provided information
We organize those details into a property record designed to preserve useful knowledge about the home over time.
Why NEPR
Taking pictures is easy. Knowing what to document is harder.
Most of us have hundreds, or thousands, of photographs on our phones.
But a collection of pictures is not the same thing as a property record.
NEPR uses a structured process to document the home systematically, helping capture details that are easy to overlook and difficult to recreate later.
The goal is not to document everything for the sake of documenting everything.
It is to preserve the information that helps tell the story of what you have, what has been done, and what makes your property unique.
Our Story
NEPR was built around a simple idea: some information is worth preserving before you need it.
Our founder experienced two house fires before the age of eleven.
He remembers watching his father do two jobs at once: care for his family while also trying to gather the information necessary to begin putting their lives back together.
Years later, professional work involving property damage and insurance claims revealed the same challenge from another perspective.
After damage occurs, people are often asked to remember details about their homes at exactly the time when their attention belongs somewhere else.
What was there? What kind was it? When was it installed? What did you own? Where is the receipt? Who did the work?
Some of that burden can be reduced simply by doing the work earlier.
How It Works
A structured process. A clearer record of your home.
-
1
We learn about your property
Every home is different. We begin by learning about the property, its history, its improvements, and the information you already have.
-
2
We document the details
NEPR systematically captures photographs and relevant information about the property's systems, materials, improvements, contents, and notable features.
-
3
We organize the information
Scattered details become a structured property record that is easier to understand and reference.
-
4
You keep the knowledge
Instead of relying on memory, old emails, forgotten folders, and photographs scattered across devices, you have an organized record of your property.
One Record. Many Reasons to Have It.
You may never know which piece of information will matter later.
You do not create the record because you expect one of these things to happen. You create it because the information is worth having.
What NEPR Is And Isn't
Property documentation with a clear purpose.
NEPR is an independent property documentation and preparedness service.
We help homeowners capture, organize, and preserve useful information about their property.
NEPR is not a home inspection, engineering evaluation, appraisal, insurance adjustment service, or guarantee of insurance coverage or claim payment.
We are not there to tell you whether your home is good or bad.
We are there to help you create a better record of it.
FAQ
Clear answers before you join the list.
Why pay someone to document my home?
You can absolutely document your home yourself.
The challenge is rarely whether a homeowner can do it.
The challenge is finding the time, creating a consistent process, knowing what to capture, organizing the information, and actually finishing the job.
NEPR provides the structure and does the work with you.
Is this just for insurance claims?
No.
Insurance and property-loss situations are important uses for good documentation, but they are only part of the picture.
A property record can also help with repairs, maintenance, renovations, equipment replacement, ownership changes, estate matters, and simply maintaining better knowledge of your home.
Is NEPR a home inspection?
No.
A traditional home inspection evaluates the condition of a property and may identify defects or recommend further evaluation.
NEPR's purpose is different.
We document and organize information about the property so that you have a lasting record of it.
What will I receive?
NEPR is currently finalizing its residential documentation service and delivery format.
Our goal is to provide every client with a clear, organized property record containing relevant photographs, property details, documentation summaries, and supporting information captured during the process.
